1885 $1 MS66+ PCGS CAC EX ROADRUNNER

Not seen with beautiful color too often, this 1885-P is not only a wonderful blueberry toner but it is also extremely high grade as a MS66+, and CAC approved. Even the famed Sunnywood-Simpson example of an 1885-P which brought $10,000 in 2014 was only an MS66. This present piece has excellent luster and a cool band of orange/peach color flowing through Liberty's cap. This could be a thread or some other light contact with the canvas material of the bank bag this piece came from. It is pedigreed to the Roadrunner Collection, which featured around 160 beautifully toned Morgans and Peace Dollars. This coin could very well fetch much more in a spirited auction.
