Morgan Dollar
The 1884-CC Morgan dollar, while one of the more common dates in the series, continues to maintain strong demand due to its iconic Carson City mintmark, but is coveted in Uncirculated with good eye appeal. This particular example, enhanced by rim toning and exceptional eye appeal, exemplifies the aesthetic qualities that make these coins perennial favorites among collectors. Bright silver metallic tone dominates the surface, whist warm golden and amber hues are concentrated along the rim. Whilst the reverse shows attractive rainbow toning in vivid shades of gold, orange, and blue highlights the upper rim, particularly around the inscription "IN GOD WE TRUST" and the eagle's wings. This eye-catching toning significantly enhances the coin’s desirability among collectors. PCGS Price Guide $400 without attractive toning.
