Morgan Dollar
This 1883-CC Morgan Dollar, certified MS66 by PCGS, is a premium Carson City example that combines historic appeal with remarkable visual character. Struck during the height of the Morgan Dollar era and distributed in part through the famed GSA hoard, the issue is treasured for its strong preservation and ties to the Old West. The obverse displays a spectacular blanket of rainbow toning, with a golden-yellow core giving way to pastel blues, rose-violets, lavender, and peach-gold highlights, accented by areas of magenta and teal along the peripheries; the soft, satiny texture diffuses the underlying brilliance while maintaining vibrant cartwheel luster. Today a regular example sells typically for around a $1,000, but this coin represents great value in our opinion for its toning and CC allure.
