Morgan Dollar
This super-GEM Morgan is an excellent example of beautiful color and pristine surfaces. The coin is fully toned and layered with iridescent color over a cool silver base, displaying vivid blends of magenta, violet, cobalt, and fuchsia across the upper fields, transitioning into warm amber-gold, straw yellow, and soft tangerine across Liberty’s portrait, and finally shifting to pale aqua, lavender-silver, and ice-blue along the lower periphery, all framed by a thin bronzed rim. Smooth, original luster flows beneath the color which makes the colors pop on the coin. It is very difficult to find an attractive toner that is also high-grade, but especially difficult is to find one that is graded MS67 or higher. Few toners in this grade exist, making it a perfect piece for the advanced collector who appreciates attractive color and a quality coin together. Few comps are noted with this much luster and color for the grade; however an inferior MS67 PCGS CAC sold for $2,160 07/25 HA.
