This 1880 Indian Head Cent Proof coin comes from a mintage of almost 4000 pieces. It is a "common" date Indian Head Cent Proof but this coin has uncommon toning. The obverse features electric pink at the top which blends into a sapphire blue center. The lower edge of the obverse shows a little beaming spot of yellow orange illumination. The reverse shows a more subtly toned cerulean ocean blue and rose blanket over a glossy brown. In hand the coin pops even more than how the close up images portray it, and is more akin to the holder image. The last PCGS comp was $900 03/23 ST which was a toned piece but the colors was no where as nice. In today's market this coin should sell for for considerably more.
