1880 $10 AG03 PCGS CAC

The 1880 Liberty Head $10 eagle is a historically significant coin, celebrated as the first ten-dollar gold issue to exceed a mintage of one million pieces, but is still low compared to its peers. Despite this its survival rate is remarkably low, with only 3,250 examples estimated to exist today in all grades. This CAC-certified specimen, the sole lowball example approved by CAC, underscores its rarity and quality, making it highly desirable. Considering melt is approximately $1,600 we find this represents excellent value.
