1879 T$1 PR65 CAM PCGS CAC

Mintage 1541. A masterpiece of all sorts, we are thrilled to offer this 1879 Gem Proof Cameo Trade Dollar and a beautiful example at that. Featuring rainbow peripheral hues with some toning even on the reverse denticle. The fields are deeply reflective and eye appeal phenomenal. In fact, in hand the fields have strong claims to Deep Cameo designation in our opinion. We awe at this marvel. One CAC sale exists in the past 10 year, but more recently and a Non-CAC 1879 T$1 example sold for $9,600 01/22 HA, whilst a similar rarity and attractively toned 1876 T$1 PR65 CAM PCGS CAC just sold for $14,688 07/23 LE. Most Proof Trade Dollars have low mintage but at PR65 CAM prices change depending on eye appeal, reflectivity and color. Consistently Proof Trade Dollars are seen dull, but this example is sharp and will serve even the most picky of collectors.
