1879 Indian Head Cent Penny originates from a 16,228,000 mintage with only 300 currently surviving in Red designation. Boasting a PQ Gem quality, we are happy to present this marvel of a Gem that is full Red. It is housed in an old Rattler holder in MS66 holder making this specimen genuinely rare. It also exhibits razor-sharp and satiny surfaces throughout and it gives off a continuous all around coppery marigold luster leading to terrific eye appeal. Although the 1879 1C is known to be available in lower specimens, Red examples like this current piece is what sets it apart from the rest of its examples as they are in a league of their own altogether.

Our offering of this marvelous uncirculated 1879 Indian Cent Gem will clearly appeal to a wide variety of collectors. A typical 66 RD CAC at auction ranges from $9,600-$13,200, but none were in rattlers nor were they approved with the combined CAC and Eagle Eye Photo seal approval. This coin is clearly better than the typical CAC 66 RD, and will end up in the finest of Indian Head Cent collections, as there are also no CAC examples graded finer.
