1878 25C MS62 NGC CAC

A surprising low-survivor issue. Though plenty were struck from the original 2.2 million pieces, only 1100 exist today in all grades, and even fewer have been CAC. At the current MS62 only 3 are CAC approved, none in 63 and 3 in each subsequent grade. With only 1 CAC comp at MS62 which was for $550 08/20 DLRC, that coin does not hold a candle to this example. Firstly, we believe this is a lock 63 and a shot at MS63+. If we played the crack out games, we would crack this coin out. Beyond the under-graded nature, the piece has soft amber toning and with ample luster for the grade.
