Single Top Pop CAC 1/0 and PCGS 3/1. This 1875-CC Liberty Seated Dime represents the scarcer "Mintmark Below Bow" subtype—Type 5 with Legend Obverse—and is an elite Carson City issue with strong conditional and variety appeal. Among the two mintmark placements experimented with in 1875, the Mintmark Below configuration is estimated to be three times rarer than the more commonly seen Mintmark Within type, with a survival estimate of just 1,500 coins. The present example showcases a sharply punched upward-sloping date and an early reverse die state. Toning across the obverse is refined and original, with a silvery-pewter base enveloped in delicate champagne-gold and russet hues around the denticles and stars. Light copper-orange accents emerge around Liberty’s shield and gown folds, suggestive of natural album storage. The reverse exhibits radiant cartwheel luster beneath well-preserved golden-amber and reddish-russet toning that frames the sharply defined wreath and legends. Surfaces are virtually untouched, presenting smooth satiny texture and full originality. One of just three certified in MS64 at PCGS with only a single coin graded finer which is NOT-CAC. This example is further distinguished by the only CAC a POP 1. No CAC-approved example in MS66 or above has traded publicly.  Whilst a lower graded PCGS CAC in MS65 realized $6,600 08/22. With a PCGS Price Guide & CAC valuation of $11,000 for a single top pop at CAC, this coin offers both technical excellence and strong collector interest as a top-tier Carson City dime with desirable condition census standing.
