The 1875-CC Liberty Head $10 eagle was struck at the Carson City Mint during a period when Nevada’s mining output fueled Western coinage, making it a historically important issue from this storied facility. With a modest mintage of just 7,715 pieces, the 1875-CC is an elusive date with only approximately 120 estimated in all grades. This example represents an honest, well-preserved survivor of a gold coin that saw meaningful circulation in the West. The obverse retains clear definition across Liberty’s and the Eagles portrait with only few strays of hairlines. Both sides exhibit excellent color and is a pleasing representative of this rare Carson City Eagle. PCGS population of just 1 example at this level out of 114 graded in higher grades. With a PCGS Price Guide value of $4,500 and no comp ever, this coin represents great value considering it is the most affordable and lowest graded example for this Carson City Eagle.
