1875 5C MS67 PCGS CAC

Pop 1/0. Finest at PCGS, NGC and CAC. Simply the single finest 1875 5c. Easily obtainable until GEM grade, at MS66 this date becomes rare and any finer impossible. As with all nickels, because of its soft metal and its susceptible nature of acquiring hits, any nickel especially shield nickels are very tough to find in conditional rarity grades. Even more so finding a pop 1 with CAC approval is a great opportunity for collectors. An interesting feature on this coin is that nearly all 1875 5C have die cracks on the obverse from 1 pm to just under W in WE, this example does not. In fact the fields of this example is clearly superior to any other 1875 as seen through the die-polish on the obverse, perhaps being one if not the first 1875 5C to have been struck.
