1875 20C MS62 PCGS CAC

First year issue of the short 2 year Twenty Cents series, 1875 20c has one of the lowest mintage for the Twenty Cents with only 36,910 as opposed to 1875-CC 20C at 133,290 and 1875-S 20C at 1,155,000 pieces. 1875-CC 20C is several times more expensive to the offered coin, despite higher mintage and higher number of survivors. Thus, we believe 1875 20c are under-rated and long term a great investment. CAC Pop 3 at MS62 with no CAC sale ever. No relevant comps exist except a CAC sale at a lower grade MS61 at $1,300 12 years ago 07/10 HA! The present example beyond its rarity and under-rated potential is exquisitely toned with underlays of steel patina over deep turquoise hues surrounded by fiery orange. Any toning on 20c for business strike are highly sought after and so too will this be fought over.
