1873 3CS PR64 CAM PCGS CAC
Three Cent Silver
The Three Cent Silver, also known as the trime, was produced from 1851 to 1872, but 1873 was only produced as a proof-only year with only 960 minted. This current proof example boasts excellent eye appeal with beautiful peripheral toning. Vibrant hues of lemon yellow, sandy yellow, transitioning into aqua blue, arctic blue, and slight hints of sunset red can be vividly seen on both sides of the coin. The reverse can be seen to exhibit slight iridescent colors on the top rim of the coin. Under a light the coin shines. CAC has approved 12 in this grade with 31 others finer. With a CAC Price Guide of $3,380, and last PCGS CAC APR for $2,900 02/22 DL for an un-toned example, this represent strong value for a toned piece.
