The 1871-CC Liberty Seated Dime holds a special place in U.S. numismatics as the first dime struck at the Carson City Mint, with a tiny mintage of just 20,100 coins, all from a single die pair. Nearly the entire issue entered circulation, leaving an estimated 110 survivors today and only a handful in Mint State. Overall, this piece exhibits honest originality, its well-blended gray and golden hues enhancing contrast and eye appeal without evidence of cleaning or impairment. As a key-date Carson City issue, it remains a highly collectible example. No CAC-approved sales have been recorded in VG08 or surrounding dates. In fact the only CAC sale in the past 16 years are two CAC examples, but we have been fortunate to have handled last year another 1871-CC 10C FR02 PCGS CAC. Do not miss this opportunity to acquire an important date in higher condition. Only three coins are CAC approved at this grade level, with just seven graded finer, highlighting its rarity within the CAC census
