Tied For Finest, Near Full Red 1870 Proof Two Cent. PCGS POP 3/0 for this original red-gold copper Two Cent example. Sharply struck with lustrous satiny surface, why this was not designated as full Red we do not know. No specks or carbon spotting is seen on either side, and the example is PQ for the grade. No sale for any PR66+ RB has either sold be it CAC or PCGS. Superb eye appeal and looks like it was just struck yesterday.
