1869 G$1 PR63 PCGS

Mintage 25! With approximately 12-16 estimated known today in all grades. Clearly a very rare date with only relevant comp we see as a similar mintage issue but later date 1874 G$1 PR63 PCGS for $11,750 8/17 HA though PCGS shows a price guide of $9,000 due to no auction comps. The offered example a POP 1 with only 2 finer. In all designation PCGS has graded only 8 including this example. With distinct field-device contrast on both the obverse and reverse, as its unique quality with a near cameo finish, this coin is by no means common like the later dated gold proof series. A very rare issue that typically comes in the mid and high 5 figures if one should ever sell in the next decade.
