1867 3CS AU55 PCGS

One of the lowest mintage for the entire 3CS series, 1867 Three Cent Silver at 4,000 pieces, only 300 are known today in all grades. An incredibly rare coin that is mostly found in uncirculated grades. At AU55, there has been 1 sale in the past 5 years at $1,680 11/18 HA for a terminally dark example. With a Price Guide of $2,000 today, we like this date, as it is undervalued in comparison to other key dates such as 1868 3CS with similar mintage and number of survivors. Overall an attractive example with some color seen on the edges and serious claims to an au58 grade which sell for approximately $3,500.
