1861-S 25C G04 PCGS CAC

Bearing the S mintmark from the San Francisco Mint, this 1861-S Liberty Seated Quarter is a quality lowball and one to have for any collectors with interest in lowball specimens. The date is an important civil war date and this example has honest wear from the period of time. Remnants of the shield under Liberty somewhat remain. The outline of the stars and portrait of Liberty can still be clearly seen as the surfaces are smooth and free from any major hits or marks apart from the wear on both sides of the coin. The endorsement of the CAC green bean speaks for itself quality wise. This example is also one of only an estimated 60 estimated today in all grades. There have been no auction records for this date since 2013, over a decade ago much less a CAC example.
