Superb Civil War Date, 1861-S $2.5 from a mintage of 24,000 only 85 are known today in all grades and condition! Thanks to the war and how most failed to be saved during the tumultuous time, most 1861 San Francisco Liberty Quarter Eagles are seen in XF-AU, with coins outside of this spectrum hardly seen. The present example has circ cameo look and visually is as choice, detailed and problem-free as one can hope and except. One CAC comp exist at VG10 where a PCGS CAC piece sold 7 years ago for $1,880 01/15 HA. Next CAC we see is a AU53 which sold for $6,750 and climb quickly thereafter.

Return Policy
All of our coins are eligible for a 3-Day Refund from when you sign for the package. Should you not be absolutely satisfied with your purchase, please notify us immediately. If payments are made via paypal or credit cards, there will be a 3% restocking fee, as the fees go the merchant processor and not us, so please ensure you intend to purchase the coin before committing or if you are not sure, you can pay via check/wire or ask to see the coin in hand ( for regular customers) All of our photos are professionally and accurately depicted.
