1861-S $10 G06 OGH PCGS

Pop 1 and the Lowest Graded example for the 1861-S Liberty Head Eagle. From a mintage of 15,500 business strikes only a mere 80 survivors are known to be available today for this important Civil War issue. The date is considered a very rare date in all grades as it is similar in rarity to the 1855 San Francisco Mint issues. This lowball specimen is a pleasing example for the grade with timber-orange patina. A wholesome and important Civil War eagle in one of the lowest grades. No auction records are currently available and this is the only piece known to exist in the grade. Encased in an Old Green Holder, this piece is a rare find for any collector and enthusiasts alike.
