Lowest graded pcgs example & CAC Pop 1. There are four known original confederate half dollars from 1861-O. These are worth roughly $1 Million. From these four, the same obverse dies were used to struck some 1861-o but not the same reverse. These are identifiable by a die crack that is shared with the original 4, and as such represents an integral part of U.S Civil War history. The offered Low Ball example was absolutely a pocket piece, in whose pocket one can only guess. For comp the lowest graded ngc example non cac sold for $633. There is no pcgs apr, closest pcgs apr is for $558 for a vg08 example.
