1861 3CS MS64 NGC

With a mintage of 139,000 about 7,500 1861 3CS are estimated in all grades today. 1861 3CS has the highest mintage. However, this by no means is the most common date. That honor belongs to 1852 3CS, despite a much smaller mintage. Whilst a typical NGC MS64 has sell for around $500 and toned 64 for about $900, this example has incredibly attractive pastel toning interlaying with the devices with some bright blue hues readily apparent on the reverse. This will attract strong demand from collectors.
