1860-O $1 AU55 NGC

The 1860-O Seated Dollar was made primarily for foreign export. Few were used domestically, yet thousands remains and were saved locally. It is one of only four Seated Dollar dates that were struck at the New Orleans mint. 1860-O $1 will cost typically between $1,000-$2,000 for the majority of the examples in AU; however, this example has some superb secondary peripheral toning, likely from an old cleaning. This, however, does not detract from the coins apparent blue to red attractive hue. Overall a great coin and highly in demand in todays market.
