1860-D $5 MEDIUM XF40 PCGS

Dahlonega $5 Pre-Civil War issues have always been popular. 1860-D $5 Medium D is no exception. With a tiny mintage of 14,635, 185 are known today in all grades and conditions, interestingly most are high grades as they were saved from commerce. This specimen is unique in that it has attractive orange-gold color, its surface lack the normal abrasions seen on most examples, is fully struck and is not processed like most others. With a PCGS Price Guide of $4,250 and no PCGS sale or comp since 1996, in fact there has been no PCGS sale of XF40,XF45, or AU50 in the past 13+ years, we believe this will serve as a great purchase.
