Liberty Seated Half Dollar
1858 Liberty Half Dollar is a popular Seated Half date. With a bountiful mintage of over 4.2 Million pieces, approximately 3,500 are estimated known today. Though these can be acquired in nearly all grades, the present example is not only one of the lowest certified CAC/CACG example, but more importantly also has a beautiful original circ toning that is typically seen in GEM examples. Finding toned VF CAC/CACG pieces is not common, as it makes necessary to have both been circulated while stored in a way to have toned. With beautiful blue teal fields over rainbow toning that absolutely pops when tilted under light, no comparable auctions are noted for this 1858 50C, except for a non-toned XF45 CAC that sold for $300 11/22 DL.
