Mintage 70! One of the finest 1857 Proof Liberty Seated Half Dime. 1 of 10 CAC approved examples in all grades, with only 2 finer than this piece. We are pleased to offer a genuine rarity priced under any other sub-100 mintage from the 1850'S. Truly a magnificent marvel, there has been only 1 CAC sale at PR65 which sold for $5,000 10 years ago 11/2012 SB, a dark and unattractive example.

An underrated rarity and we highly recommend this, as we see great potential for this coin. The present example is delicately toned with sky blue interlaced with orange peel hues, all beautifully enhancing the coins reflectivity and sharply struck devices, as one would expect from a proof with a minuscule mintage.
