Sharply struck 1857 Flying Eagle small cent. A short and popular run, this 1857 1c appears to have been struck a few times or there is some unique doubling as seen around the eagles beak, date and most of the legend. A very interesting variety and I have not seen others with such bold type errors. Endorsed twice for PQ by CAC and Eagle Eye Photo Seal. The last pcgs cac comp was appropriately also a photo sealed example that sold for $1,050 03/20 but was not as attractive had a few carbon spots and did not have added points of interest. The coloring almost makes this coin appear to be a RB piece but these are supposed to have a copper nickel coloring. Nonetheless a wonderful example with two-toned color on the reverse.
