1856 $10 XF45 NGC CAC
The 1856 Liberty Head $10 eagle, with a mintage of 60,490 and an estimated survival of only 325 examples is a notably scarce and highly desirable coin across all grades. This particular example showcases a honey-gold coloration with coppery-orange highlights that enhance its visual appeal. With its combination of low survival numbers and absolute attractive skin and patina, this 1856 Liberty Head $10 eagle is an outstanding example of the series and an excellent addition to any advanced collection. Safe to say we also believe in comparison to $20, these better date examples are highly undervalued at just a few hundred dollars over melt. There have been no recent comp since golds rise, but in January 2025 gold spot price was approximately $2,600-$2,700 and now it is considerably higher. CAC Price Guide $2,200.
