Superbly Rare 1855-C G$1 AU55 NGC CAC. This rare one year type issue from Charlotte mint is one of the rarest for the entire gold series. A cac pop 3 in au55 with the other two trading at $17,684 in 2017 & $15,275 in 2013, this new example is far superior to the aforementioned. 1855-C is plagued as the worst struck example from the mint with the hair, and the word liberty along with all the writing completely missing. On the reverse it is typically seen without the One dollar or 18. This is one of the best struck example for this immensely rare example that typically trades at much higher than average poorly struck ones.
