1854-O $3 AU53 NGC CAC

In AU 1854-O $3 is genuinely rare. The present example has deep orange gold patina and is uncommonly well struck for the issue, given the level of details of Liberty's hair; however, this coin's true value comes in its originality and eye appeal. With attractive patina, well struck details and truly an attractive and eye appealing specimen for this AU piece, this three dollar gold will be highly contested after. No CAC AU53 has sold in over 6 years. 2 grades lower at XF45, a PCGS CAC example sold 09/22 LE for $4,935. NON-CAC AU53 NGC have sold for mid $4,000. The opportunity to find a CAC AU or higher 1854-O $3 will likely not present itself anytime soon, and we would recommend this purchase.
