Gold Dollar
One of if not the most popular and available United States Gold Dollar. 1853 G$1 had a mintage of over 4 million with 11,000 known today in all grades and conditions, a mere 0.275% survivor rate. Of the 11,000, these can be acquired from the lowest to the highest(MS69) grade; however, we are pleased to offer a deeply toned Liberty Gold Dollar. The grade, 55, is irrelevant and what matters is the amount of toning on this example. Deep sea blue adorns the obverse as it clashes with purple and sun-gold. Approximately 80% of the obverse and 60% of the reverse is covered with royal purple mixed with tan blue. A remarkable example and one you will not find again.
