Liberty Head Eagle
1852 $10 Liberty Eagle graded XF45 by PCGS and approved by CAC, is a well-preserved and evenly worn example of this better Philadelphia eagle, a denomination struck in far smaller numbers than the more heavily produced double eagles of the same year. Displaying a cohesive, warm yellow-gold foundation across both sides, the coin exhibits soft honey and light orange-gold accents. The surfaces on both sides blend seamlessly in color and texture, free of distracting abrasions. With an estimated survival of approximately 500 pieces only in all grades, this CAC-endorsed XF45 represents a scarce and attractive mid-19th-century Liberty Head eagle, further supported by a CAC Price Guide value of $3,250. Truly an undervalued coin considering a 1901-S $10 MS64 CAC with millions would cost the same.
