1850-D G$1 AU58 PCGS CAC

With a mintage of just 8,382 pieces and only 125 estimated in all grades today, 1850-D gold dollar is one of the rarest and one of the most undervalued Dahlonega gold dollars. Grading this date has proven to be very tough throughout the years. In comparison to the usual gold dollar, one might no doubt grade it as an AU50, as such these have to be graded per issue. This example lacks the typical abrasion and shows great eye appeal with a strong halloween-yellow hue. An AU58 PCGS CAC just sold for $10,200 08/24 ST for this CAC pop 3/3, and we are proud to be able to offer under auction comps.
