1850-C $2.5 VF30 PCGS CAC

An attractive Charlotte gold Liberty Quarter Eagle with deep coppery orange-gold hue. Well struck with all designs clearly seen. From a small mintage of just 9,148 pieces, 160 remain today in all grades, most of which have been dipped and finding original uncleaned examples with attractive skin is incredibly rare. No CAC VF30 has sold nor in any surrounding higher grades, except a lower graded NGC VF25 CAC sold for $2,640 06/22 ST. This is not only higher grade, pcgs but this also has an attractive orange patina. An example that was clearly plucked out of circulation and kept carefully. PCGS Pop 2, CAC Pop 2.
