Just in. This dime is not only superbly rare as it is a CAC pop 1 with none finer, at pcgs ms65,66,67 they are all pop 1. But the offered coin is also breathtaking. It is likely one of the most attractive 1849 10c. While 1849 has an official mintage of 839,000. In gem the estimate is no more than 2-3 examples. A truly rare survival rate. Interestingly the last MS65 pcgs example last sold 17 years ago! The pcgs ms66 and ms67 are also locked up in permanent collection. This is the one shot of getting the best 1849 10c. Of note the NGC holder is also in a very early version. It has the part of the outer body of a fatty but is actually thin. I have also attached a picture of the NGC Photo Proof presentation piece where this coin was pedigreed to Farmington Valley Rare Coins and Investment Co. It has a very nice close up picture and written up article featuring this coin. Likely made over 10 years ago based on quality of pics. Current Price Guide is $5,000 if one ever were to pop up. This is cac and a stunner. At auction this should blow past all records.
