1847-O $10 XF45 CACG

The 1847-O $10 Liberty Head is an important early New Orleans issue with a survival estimate of roughly 875 pieces, and this CACG XF45 example stands out for its original circulated quality. The coin displays a warm, settled gold tone with subtle honey and deeper amber hues in the recessed elements. Given CAC Value at $3,250 and melt at approximately $2,250 for this better date, we do not see the downside to owning one now as opposed to a common 1900's $10. The only comp we have is when gold was $3,100 an ounce, a 1847-O $10 XF45 PCGS CAC sold 03/25 HA for $2,220.
