1847-C $5 MS61 PCGS CAC

Charlotte half eagle are all rare and underated in uncirculated. An estimated of 8-10 exist in mint state between both grading companies. Two finest known are a pcgs ms63 that sold for $32,900 in 2014 and a ms65 pcgs for $47,150 back in 2002! This is a fresh example that has never been cleaned or dipped. Sharply struck and fully frosted with rich natural green-gold and yellow hue with some coppery toned spots that add deep character to the piece. Last ms61 comp sold in 2009 over 10 years ago. There are no cac comp. This rarity comes with a price guide of $13,000. An ms62 cac would cost close to $20,000 if available.
