Though one might speculate the 1845-O Seated Liberty Half Dollar is a relatively available issue due to its mintage of 2,094,000, there are only a mere 700 survivors. Not to mention out of the 700, extensively worn examples can be found with ease, whereas high grade examples such as this piece is scarce. This important Liberty Seated New Orleans Half Dollar is sharply struck on both sides and exudes incredible lustrous for the grade. We are uncertain, what is holding this fine piece back from a 64 but we feel this has an incredibly strong shot given its ample luster. PCGS Price Guide - $4,750.
