A grossly underrated date for Liberty Eagles, 1845 $10 for a variety of reason just did not stand time. An estimated 110, 1845 $10 exists in all grades and all conditions. To explain how rare this date is, 110 does not give it justice. CAC has approved only 10 in all grades. In AU this coin becomes extremely tough to find and commands huge premium well in 5 figures whilst its other date counterpart would garner such prices in MS. The offered example is sublime not only for its OGH holder and CAC approval, but the coin is also under-graded in our opinion XF. Moreover, this example has attractive deep red brown toning perhaps from being stored as a pocket piece or in a leather pouch. Regardless this coin has all the bells and whistle required for a coin.
