Liberty Seated Quarter
The 1844 Liberty Seated Quarter represents an underrated deceptively difficult Mint State issue from the early Philadelphia silver series and is seldom encountered. Although the mintage totaled 421,200 pieces, most examples entered circulation, leaving relatively few high-grade survivors, with an estimated population of roughly 500 coins across all grades. This example presents a warm champagne and pale golden undertones that carry evenly across both sides. Subtle overlays of lavender, slate-blue, and faint sea-green drift through the fields and around the devices ar seen. No sales are seen; however, a lower graded MS62 PCGS CAC example sold for $2,040 06/25 SB.
