The 1842-O Liberty Seated Quarter, Small Date is a cornerstone of the Seated Liberty quarter series, with only 400 pieces estimated today. Renowned this issue is highly sought after by collectors of early New Orleans Mint coinage. CAC reports only four examples at this level, with just seven finer. The coin features a muted silver-gray tone, accented by subtle hints of blue. No CAC example has sold recently except a VF35 for $6,000 08/24 ST.
