1839 50C CAPPED BUST AU55 PCGS

The year 1839 for the Capped Bust series is a popular year among collectors as the year of the series. The borderline toning of this piece exhibits iridescent colors of lemon yellow, olive green, sapphire blue, and sienna brown. The reverse on the other hand, boasts a beautiful marigold yellow along the rims. This piece should technically be an AU58 but likely net graded due to an attractive retoning. The details are sharp and nicely struck. No relevant comps are noted; however NGC AU58 sold most recently for $1,380 08/23 HA.
