1837 50C REEDED EDGE XF45 CACG

This 1837 Capped Bust Half Dollar Reeded Edge was among the first coins produced using steam-powered technology at the Philadelphia Mint, marking a shift from the earlier lettered edge design to the reeded edge. With only 0.25% of the original mintage estimated to have survived, this coin is notably scarce. It boasts deep gray obverse toning with rich olive highlights, especially vibrant around the edges with some slight toning under the light.
