1837 50C MS62 PCGS

Popular Capped Bust Reeded Edge type and second year of issue, 1837 50C has been collected widely due to its affordable up until AU58. Any finer and in UNC this coin becomes tough, rare and pricey. At MS62 the last sale was $2,040 04/22 HA, though the price gap between NON-CAC MS62 and MS63 appear to be shrinking. Nonetheless, this coin has superb colors as seen with salmon base base surrounded by intensifying superman colors of blue, yellow and red. The coin is high grade and more choice than the MS62 suggest which is likely accounted for the reeded edge nick seen on Liberty's face, save for that it would likely be 63 or finer. A wonderful coin that has to be seen to behold.
