Designed by John Reich, the Capped Bust was first introduced when quarters resumed production in 1815 after being suspended from 1807. Although the 1835 are known to be more common, Mint State examples hard to come by today. The present example is an exceptional 1835 Capped Bust Quarter masterpiece. The details on both sides of the coin are immaculate boasting razor sharp strikes all around. It has maginificent eye appeal where the bold luster exhibit rich olive green, hunter green, hints of steel blue, and yellow gold hues on both sides of the coin with the reverse exhibiting a more sunset red along with a mixture of teal and aqua blue. Not only is it the only MS64+ with the green bean, there is only 1 CAC finer in MS65 and 2 in MS66. This lovely near-Gem Condition Census piece also features attractive die-crack seen on the numerals and on the reverse and is bound to captivate any collector and is sure to be a prized possession
