Offered is the single rarest Capped Bust Dime for the entire series. There are only an estimated 40 known to exist in all grades. The finest of which is a VF35. There is nothing finer than a VF! No doubt a key to the series, one seldom has the opportunity to acquire this date and thus collectors jump at opportunity at any grade. With a Price Guide of $4,500, the offered coin is a well worn example with outlines of lady liberty and the eagle clearly visible and one of the lowest graded for this rare date. There has never been a AG03 comp or auction records for FR02 or AG03 from either grading company with the most recent comp a G04 PCGS 06/2022 for $5,200. This R-5, key date Red Book variety has been the dream of most capped bust collectors and as such we are pleased to offer this example.
