1820 50C Square 2 Large Date No Knob. Approximately 1,000 1820 50C Square No Knob are known, a very low number of survival for the issue given 751,122 were minted. Note this coin has the wrong pcgs number on the holder as 30+ years ago when this coin was slabbed Curl Base 2 and Square Base 2 and the Redbook types were not differentiated. 3 CAC comps are noted for the type in the past 7 years, $1,740, $4,935(old holder as well) and $3,760, whilst the most recent sale was for a non-CAC at $2,040 01/21 HA. The present coin is as original and crusty as it comes. This coin has never been dipped or messed with and is the definition of originality for AU Bust Half Dollar.
