Capped Bust Quarters have always been viewed as one of the most tough and rare quarters series. With its beautiful motif and elegant design it Is easy to see why acquiring one has been prized by most collectors. 1820 25C Large 0 can be found in lower grades under VF. Anything above XF becomes incredibly rare. 2 grades lower in AU50 PCGS CAC one sold in 2020 for $3,120. At AU55 non-cac examples have sold for $3,010 for a cleaned example and $4,080. There are 3 cac approved examples with the last CAC selling for $6,462 in 2016. The offered example has attractive steel-grey over white patina over lustrous surfaces seen in the devices. The example is clearly un-dipped, original and we would not be surprised for this to end up in a higher grade. Newly graded and fresh. A prize example for those seeking a rare Capped Bust CAC example.
