1820 10C STATESOF MS63 PCGS CAC

One of the key for the Capped Bust Dime series, this rare Redbook 1820 10c was struck with the reverse of 1814 STATESTOF. An uncommon event considering it was 6 years old. There are an estimated 200 examples of this rare date in all conditions. This MS63 is in the condition census and one of two graded at MS63 with just a mere 5 graded finer at PCGS and 2 at NGC including resubmissions. This important condition census example is lustrous for the date and has soft tan hues covering the obverse and reverse. Interestingly there have been no Mint State auction record in the past 10 years with the only one the finest MS66 at a $67,453 7 years ago.
